FOCUS Accreditation is pleased to announce that Community Living Prince Edward (CLPE) has once again been successful in its bid to be re-accredited by FOCUS Accreditation for four years from October 2023 to October 2027.
In addition, the organization has received their first Seal of Sustainability Award. This award recognizes organizations who have been accredited for three or more cycles and for their commitment to ongoing quality improvement.
Community Living Prince Edward has been in existence for over 50 years. CLPE was formed in 1965 by parents and friends who rejected the conventional wisdom which said that people with an intellectual disability belonged in institutions. They are a non-profit charitable organization governed by a Board of Directors who are elected by the membership of their association. They serve over 350 people with disabilities and employ some 175 staff who work at various program sites and locations throughout Prince Edward County.
