Accessibility Statement

This is an accessibility statement from FOCUS Accreditation.

FOCUS Accreditation takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of FOCUS Accreditation, but are not limited to:

• Internal policies and procedures demonstrate FOCUS’ commitment to compliance with accessibility legislation, regulation, and requirements.
• Accessibility considerations, factors, and barriers are assessed, and accommodations are made when required or when possible, when not required.
• Technological devices and applications are explored for communication and service delivery when required.
• Appoint an accessibility officer.
• Provide ongoing accessibility training for our staff.
• Has an ongoing commitment to ensure accessibility is regularly being assessed.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. FOCUS Accreditation is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.

Additional accessibility considerations

Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we have also applied some Level AAA Success Criteria: Images of text are only used for decorative purposes. Re-authentication after a session expires does not cause loss of data. Some videos may have sign language interpretation.

FOCUS Accreditation assessed the accessibility of FOCUS Accreditation by the following approaches:

• External evaluation
• An AODA Compliance Audit was completed by an independant auditor and AODA compliance measures were implemented.
